Supporting Communication Through Performance
2019

Directed by
Matt Wilkinson

In collaboration with the Communication
Sciences and Disorders department
at Penn State University

Over the course of a semester, college-aged students with and without disabilities come together to learn and practice a wide range of performing arts techniques (dance, singing, improvisation, etc.) with the ultimate goal of putting on a live final performance. This experience is a part of a Communication Sciences and Disorders class at Penn State University. See how practicing performance techniques can support communication outcomes (e.g., confidence, socialization, etc.) for all of the students involved in the class.
